Molex Gets Architectural SSL Product Innovation Award for Helieon Sustainable Light Module


May 17, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Molex, Inc. announced that the company is a platinum award recipient in the modular engines category of the 2011 Architectural SSL Product Integration Awards (PIA) for its Helieon Sustainable Light Module.

In a release, the company said the award determines and honors the best LED/solid-state luminaires and fixtures on the market, while also recognizing the companies behind the components that make up these light sources. Over 160 entrants were evaluated in the interior, exterior and components categories, with multiple subcategories in each. Molex will be presented with the award at the Lightfair International show on Tuesday, May 17, at 1:30 p.m.

"Through a comprehensive questionnaire, and with the help of our expert judges, we're confident the products honored will give specifiers of SSL a great starting point in investigating robust and energy-efficient products that they'll hopefully be able to use on their projects."
