NextIO Appoints Jaime Edwards as Vice President of Engineering and Operations


AUSTIN, Texas --(Business Wire)--

NextIO, the pioneer in rack-level IO consolidation and virtualization solutions, today announced that Jaime Edwards has joined the company as vice president of Engineering and Operations. In his new role, Jaime Edwards will be responsible for NextIO's hardware systems design and development, as well as all product manufacturing and operations for the company.

"Edwards brings to NextIO a diverse background of product design engineering and project management experience from several Fortune 500 companies, most recently Cisco Systems (News - Alert)," said K.C. Prir to joining NextIO, Edwards spent more than 10 years with Cisco, where he served as a group manager in the Ethernet Systems Technology group. In this role, he was responsible for multiple simultaneous system- level developments and managed high-level architecture and product line planning. Edwards also held the position of Industrial Communications Group Manager at National Instruments (News - Alert). In this role, he managed the company's hardware and software product development efforts for the Serial and CAN product lines.
