[April 30, 2011] BRIEF: Worker killed at CSX Transportation rail yard in Waycross Tweet Apr 29, 2011 (The Florida Times-Union - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A man died shortly before 6 a.m. today in a collision involving a train and a pickup truck at CSX Transportation's Rice Yard in Waycross, authorities said. A CSX spokeswoman confirmed a fatality occurred, and said "investigators are still gathering information." "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of our lost colleague," said Carla Groleau, company communications director. Authorities withheld the victim's name pending notification of his family. Because it is early in the investigation, details of the accident were not immediately available from the company or investigators.
