MedQuist to provide coding technology to Cooper University HospitalApr 14, 2011 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- MedQuist Holdings Inc., a provider of medical transcription services and technology-enabled clinical documentation workflow solutions, has won a contract from Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey to provide computer-assisted coding technology and outsourced coding services. Cooper selected MedQuist based on its ability to demonstrate both ICD-10 readiness as well as the streamlined workflow features built in to the CodeRunnerCAC technology platform, including automatic chart assignment and automatic quality assurance, which enable complete, accurate coding in a rapid, efficient manner. The addition of outsourced coding services expands Cooper's current partnership with MedQuist for transcription outsourcing services. MedQuist's transcription solutions feed clinical documents directly into CodeRunnerCAC, speeding the coding process and helping providers to obtain reimbursement faster. "We are proud to partner with such a prestigious organization and are honored that Cooper has chosen to expand its partnership with MedQuist to include coding technology and service," says Maryagnes Marek, vice president of Coding and HIM Compliance at MedQuist. "This agreement demonstrates that MedQuist is the vendor of choice to speed revenue cycles, reduce denials and meet the complexity of the expanded code sets that ICD-10 will bring in 2013." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
