Experts from Nelson Labs to Speak at BIOMEDevice Show


SALT LAKE CITY --(Business Wire)--

Nelson Laboratories' (www.nelsonlabs.com) experts will present four strategic testing topics to medical device manufacturers attending the BIOMEDevice Boston show. The presentations outline ways to minimize risk and meet regulatory agencies' expectations.

The Big Three: Cytotoxicity, Sensitization & Irritation

April 6 at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., April 7 at 12:30 p.m.

 

This presentation will explain the 'Big Three' tests, preparation for submission to the FDA and how to write justifications when there's a test failure.

  Radiation Sterilization, AAMI Methods

April 6 at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., April 7 at 1:30 p.m.

 

The steps and acceptance criteria of Verification Dose Maximum (VDmax) and Method One will be explained and examples provided.

Ethylene Oxide Sterilization Validations

This presentation will demonstrate the appropriate ways to develop, optimize and validate an ethylene oxide sterilization process.

  Sterility Testing (Cleanroom & Isolator)

The qualification process and primary uses of isolator technology for testing will be explained along with examples.


Additionally, Dan Floyd, RM(NRCM), Nelson Labs Laboratory Manager, was selected to present Ethylene Oxide Sterilization at the Innovation Briefs Theater in booth #923, on Wednesday, April 6 at 1:55 p.m.
