Aotmp Report: Negotiating Terms and Conditions on Fixed and Mobile Telecom Contracts Generates Savings

Mar 21, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Aotmp has announced the release of its latest Enterprise Performance Series report entitled "Sourcing, Procurement and Contract Management." Representing findings from 276 enterprise professionals across 24 different industries nationwide, Aotmp noted that the new report provides the most current industry benchmarks for negotiating fixed and wireless telecom contracts. As the study identifies, companies that focus most on terms and conditions when negotiating contracts, as opposed to price, realize twice as much savings.

According to Aotmp, approximately 60 percent of organizations negotiate fixed and mobile telecom contracts every 2-3 years, while 37 percent require a RFP every time a contract is awarded. The Company said that this can become a time-consuming task, as research shows that organizations often have an average five wireless service providers and 16 fixed service providers.

"Sourcing, procurement and contract management play a major role in supporting the operational and financial health of a company's fixed and mobile telecom environment," says Timothy C. Colwell, senior VP of global performance management at Aotmp. "Contracts that are not well managed for the duration of their lifecycle pose a great financial risk that can go undetected for an extended period of time." Aotmp said that its report provides perspective and benchmarks for negotiating fixed and mobile telecom contracts, helping organizations answer key business questions, including: -What is the financial and operational impact of effective telecom contract negotiations? -How often should telecom contracts be negotiated? -What are the sourcing and contract management FTE requirements? Aotmp is a company focusing on driving efficiency and performance into enterprise fixed and mobile telecom environments.
