[March 07, 2011] TCS extends agreement with U.S. Cellular for LBS application Tweet (EquityBites Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TeleCommunication Systems Inc (TCS) (Nasdaq:TSYS), a provider of secure mobile communication technology, said on Friday that it has extended its agreement with U.S. Cellular, a full-service wireless carrier, to offer 'Your Navigator', powered by TCS. Your Navigator is a Location Based Services (LBS) application that transforms any GPS-enabled mobile phone into a personal navigation device with real-time, turn-by-turn visual and audio directions for people on the move. Under the two-year Software License Agreement announced on Friday, financial details of which were not disclosed, TCS will provide Your Navigator through U.S. Cellular's feature (BREW) phones. TCS said it has worked with U.S. Cellular since 2007 to enhance customers' mobile experience with precise LBS.
