[March 01, 2011] SMART workforce management solutions deployed by Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust Tweet (Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SMART, a supplier of workforce management solutions to the UK's National Health Service (NHS), said yesterday that it has been selected by Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust to provide e-rostering and bank management systems. These systems are expected to reduce the Trust's nursing budget without cutting patient services. Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust now has 1,600 nursing staff using the e-rostering solution, approximately 82% of all nursing staff, half of whom are working on rosters with a live link to ESR payroll. So far the system is said to have reduced "head room" contingency (the extra staff needed to ensure there is cover for holidays, sickness and other absence) by 1% and bank usage by 53%.
