Imprivata Unveils New Products and Partnerships at HIMSS11

Feb 24, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Imprivata announced the introduction of a host of new products and industry partnerships at this week's HIMSS11.

Designed to accelerate the adoption of electronic medical records (EMR) applications and help healthcare providers achieve Meaningful Use, Imprivata is delivering products and partnerships across three key strategic areas: virtualization, mobility and clinician workflow.

"Our customers demand fast and secure access to EMR applications - it's what drives our commitment to No Click Access and number one KLAS-rated products," said Omar Hussain, president and CEO, Imprivata. "These new products and partnerships build on our mission to help physicians spend more time with patients and deliver quality care, by reducing the time it takes for them to get the right information at the right time, regardless of location." An increasing number of healthcare IT organizations are looking to deploy VMware View and zero clients to secure their data and reduce their desktop management headaches. Imprivata and Teradici announced that they are working together as part of a strategic partnership to provide integration and interoperability of PC-over-IP (PCoIP) zero client devices with Imprivata OneSign authentication and single sign-on software. The joint solution will enable healthcare providers to deploy VMware View virtual desktops with secure and rich-media hardware zero clients that provide clinicians with one-touch desktop roaming and strong authentication.

Imprivata also announced last week that Imprivata OneSign Virtual Desktop Access will be integrated with Dell's Mobile Clinical Computing platform for Dell healthcare customers using VMware View. This furthers Imprivata's commitment to helping clinicians get access to patient data in virtual desktop environments.

Imprivata also announced integration of Imprivata OneSign, the company's top KLAS-rated single sign-on and authentication software, with Epic's authentication API. This API-level integration with EpicCare speeds clinician access, streamlines workflow and reduces the difficulty of compliance with Meaningful Use requirements for Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE).

Imprivata is an independent single sign-on and access management provider for healthcare and other regulated industries.
