LAS VEGAS, Feb. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Understanding the varying and demanding needs of digital out-of-home advertising, LG Electronics is displaying its expanded line of commercial display solutions - new giant sizes, 72- and 65-inch class screens, plus touch-screen technology and next-generation 3D displays - this week at Digital Signage Expo 2011 (booths 1200 and 1800).

As a leader in the digital signage industry, LG provides signage solutions for a wide variety of vertical markets from Small and Medium Business (SMB), to Quick Serve Restaurants (QSR), to airports and houses of worship, to name a few. Making digital signage easier to implement than ever before, LG will also be showcasing its SuperSign Premier product which is an innovative, out-of-the-box solution to information sharing. (See separate press release.) "LG's broad technology portfolio is designed to create an interactive and engaging experience that provides real business value through improved customer and branding recognition as well as increased purchase behavior," said Jeff Dowell, vice president, Digital Signage, LG Electronics USA. "With our 3D, touch and turnkey solutions, LG has created a product line that is as intuitive and user-friendly as it is effective, positioning us for continued positive growth in 2011." Engage Senses, Engage Consumers This week at DSE 2011, LG is highlighting the broad depth and breadth of its product line headlined by its first commercial-grade passive 3D TV, based on "FPR" LG Cinema 3D technology, the next generation 3D display. Using very affordable and comfortable polarized eyewear, the 47-inch class LG 47LD950C 3D LCD HDTV (46.9-inches measured diagonally) offers a truly cinematic experience outside the theater. Its glossy black finish provides an attractive, modern HD display solution that delivers a 3D experience that can be enjoyed in hotel lobbies, restaurants, sports lounges, theatres and other public spaces.

LG is also exhibiting three 47-inch class touch screen displays. Through collaborations with Horizon, Kristel, Techglobal and ICG, LG's touch screen displays engage passers-bys in interactive new ways. From way-finding in a hotel lobby to navigating the latest news on campus, LG's touch screens make it simple to communicate.

Versatile Media Players The NC-1000 digital media player complements LG's commercial display technology by utilizing a medium that is equipped to conveniently display content including images, movies, audio and other file types. The NC-1000 is also capable of controlling multiple displays from one central location making it easier than ever to deploy interactive content.

The LG NC-2000 is an alternative to the standalone NC-1000 and functions as an integral component of LG's Commercial Display solutions. The NC-2000 is a card that slides into the port of a compatible LG LCD monitor. Once connected, this media player can transmit content such as way-finding, dynamic advertising, information boards and broadcast video in Full HD.

Included management software is intuitive and user-friendly and allows for easy navigation through menus to control networked displays and simultaneously run media files such as video, images, audio and Flash. The LG NC-2000 is compatible with the M3204CCBA, M4214CCBA, and M4716CCBA LG monitors.

Display Sizes for Every Environment LG's dynamic lineup includes flat panel displays for all information sharing and advertising needs no matter the size. Spanning 32- to 72-inch class sizes, LG offers solutions for spaces of all shapes and sizes.

Large Displays LG's large-sized monitors bring durability, energy efficiency and high-definition to a versatile customer base. Perfect for large and impactful installations such as hotel theaters and interactive airport displays, LG is exhibiting a 3x3 LED matrix video wall comprised of nine 47-inch class 47WV30 LED monitors (46.9-inches measured diagonally).

For large scale applications such as bus terminals or hospitality settings, LG is showcasing its 72- and 65-inch class monitors. The Full HD 72WS10 (71.5-inches measured diagonally) can be placed in portrait or landscape modes while the 65-inch class Full HD 1080p M6503CCBA (64.5-inches measured diagonally) monitor incorporates a crisp resolution with high contrast ratio and brightness for a truly beautiful picture on the big screen. Three power saving levels on the M6503CCBA allow for integrators to customize energy output. From bus terminals to hotel registration desks, this monitor makes information sharing easier than ever with the ability to place it in a 5x5 video wall matrix that automatically adjusts itself for bezel width to help provide a more seamless picture.

Other large monitors include LG's 55-inch class M5520CCBA (54.5-inches measured diagonally) which renders any display information with the striking brilliance of full HD 1080p resolution. With landscape, portrait and tile mode capabilities, the M5520CCBA is a versatile display that performs beyond just a big screen.

The M4720CCBA (46.9-inches measured diagonally) is designed to maximize content quality and effect, with its narrow bezel only measuring 17.9mm wide. The M4716CCBA (46.9-inches measured diagonally) is part of the SuperSign solution and is built-in ready with the NC-2000 media player. Both 47-inch class models include an integrated RJ-45 LAN controller that eliminates the need of an IP card and IP interface box to manage multiple displays.

Mid-sized Displays Not all digital signage installations require a big-screen display. For mid-sized installations LG is showcasing a broad line of 42-inch diagonal monitors. The M4225CCBA is part of the SuperSign Elite solution. This 42-inch diagonal display is built-in ready with the NC-1000 media player and includes an integrated LAN controller that eliminates the need of an IP card and IP interface box to manage multiple displays.

As a part of the SuperSign Solution, the 42-inch diagonal M4214CCBA is built-in ready with the NC-2000 media player and also features integrated LAN control enabling individual management for multiple displays and eliminating the need for an IP card and an IP Interface box.

The 42-inch diagonal M4210LCBA boasts picture quality enhancements from the 1920x1080 resolution, 3,000:1 DCR contrast ratio and Super IPS display. These features combine to create a Full HD flat panel with HDTV-like characteristics.

Smaller Display Options LG also produces a number of options for smaller installations. With landscape, portrait, 5x5 tile modes and an impressive 178 degree viewing angle, LG's 32- to 55-inch class size displays adapt to a wide variety of signage needs. For those commercial environments looking to save on energy, these displays boast ENERGY STAR 5.0 certification.

With LG's 32-inch class flat panel (model M3204CCBA; 31.5-inches measured diagonally) sharing information is just as easy as working with larger displays. Part of the SuperSign solution, this compact model is ideal for way-finding, information displays, menu boards or QSR signage and more.

*For a small percentage of the population, the viewing of stereoscopic 3D video may cause discomfort such as dizziness or nausea. If you experience any of these symptoms, discontinue using the 3D functionality and contact your health care provider. 3D glasses required and are sold separately on some models.
