New AppointmentsJoining the GainSpan team to head up its engineering operation is long-time industry veteran, Thai Nguyen. With more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor and wireless industries building companies such as TZero Technologies, Quantenna Communications and Resonext Communications, Nguyen will spearhead the design and development of GainSpan's next generation Wi-Fi chip and module products. David Casey, former partner with international business consulting firm TW Partners, has joined GainSpan as Vice President of Worldwide sales. Casey will oversee all of GainSpan's global sales and partner activities, as well as scaling the sales activities of the company on a worldwide basis. With over two decades of semiconductor sales experience, Casey brings to GainSpan an exemplary track record of success working with tier-1 customers in the mobile, computer and consumer markets. He also has an accomplished record of building global sales teams and distribution channels as well as penetrating new territories. Casey's experience includes executive sales positions at industry leaders like CMD, Alliance Semiconductor, Renesas and Hitachi Semiconductor. Based in the U.K., wireless semiconductor veteran Alan Kiltie joins the team as Director of European Sales covering the EMEA region. Kiltie will focus on expanding GainSpan's growing business in the region and responding rapidly to the large opportunities in Europe for ultra low power Wi-Fi in markets such as Smart Energy and Personal Healthcare.
