BRIEF: Federal money boosts Cape fire departmentBOSTON, Feb 11, 2011 (Cape Cod Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Brewster is one of four Massachusetts fire departments that will share $721,411 in federal money aimed at improving operations and safety for first responders. The Brewster Fire Department will receive $354,213, most of which will be used for new communications equipment. The funding is being awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and was announced Thursday by the state's federal legislative delegation.
