Aveksa Reports 2010 Results, Hires Andy Byron as VP of Worldwide Sales


Feb 11, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Aveksa, Inc., a provider of enterprise access governance solutions, announced that the company has experienced tremendous growth over the past year and plans to expand its global presence in all areas of the company in 2011.

To support this growth, Aveksa said it also announced that it has named Andy Byron as the company's Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

Over the past year, Aveksa has increased its customer base by 50 percent, with more than 30 percent of those customers drawn from the Global 500. Demonstrating the company's growth, Q4 bookings grew by more than 100 percent versus the same period last year. The company also expanded its global footprint, adding customers in Asia Pacific and Africa.


Due to its performance in 2010 and continued market growth predictions from industry analysts, Aveksa noted it plans to expand all facets of the company's operations in 2011, including sales, engineering and professional services. As Aveksa's new Vice President of Sales, Andy Byron will be responsible for leading Aveksa's global sales efforts and for scaling the sales organization in order to increase revenue and help grow the company.

Byron brings to Aveksa a track record of building and managing successful sales organizations in both large and small software companiesaccording to the Company. Andy comes to Aveksa from BMC Software (NasdaqGS: BMC), a $2 billion Business Service Management (BSM) software company, where he was most recently Vice President of Sales for northeast U.S. and Canada. In this position, Andy led a sales team responsible for selling BMC's full line of BSM solutions, where his team doubled its revenue in 2010. Previously, Andy served as BMC's Vice President of Sales for central Europe, where he increased revenue by 100 percent over a two year period.

Prior to BMC, Andy was area Vice President of Sales for the northeast U.S. region for BladeLogic, a provider of data center automation software. Andy was instrumental in fueling BladeLogic's tremendous growth from a small start-up through an IPO of 2007 and eventual acquisition by BMC Software for $880 million. During his tenure at BladeLogic, Andy increased revenue for his regions by five-fold. Earlier in his career, he was the Eastern Area Director of Sales for VeriCenter, a provider of managed hosting, co-location and infrastructure services for mid-to-large enterprises. In this position, Andy led a sales team that covered half of North America, grew revenues 100 percent year over year and helped significantly grow the company, ultimately leading to VeriCenter's acquisition by SunGard.
