Interactive Intelligence Chooses Yap Voicemail-To-Text Service

Feb 07, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Yap, a provider of automated, cloud-based speech recognition services, has been selected by Interactive Intelligence for its voicemail-to-text service.

The Company said the voicemail preview service enables users to read their voicemails at any time or place on a wireless device or computer screen.

"By converting a voicemail to text, users can read their messages in a fraction of the time it takes to dial a voicemail box and listen to the recording," said Yap's vice president of products, Marcello Typrin. "With the voicemail content in text format, it can also easily be shared with coworkers via email from a computer or mobile phone, as well as stored and indexed for future reference." According to a release, Interactive Intelligence provides unified IP business communications and will offer the Yap service as an addition to its applications for contact center automation, enterprise IP telephony, and business process automation.

"Yap's automated voicemail preview service will offer our customers yet another powerful tool for more efficiently accessing, managing and responding to their voice messages," said Interactive Intelligence chief marketing officer, Joe Staples. "In addition, Yap's high accuracy rates will ensure the kind of quality of service our large enterprise customers demand."
