Clarizen and Pentos Partner to Introduce New Lotus Notes Plug-In for Leading Online Project Management Solution

SAN MATEO, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Clarizen has partnered with leading German integrator, Pentos AG, to develop a seamless integration between Lotus Notes and Clarizen through a plug-in that can be installed into Notes. The plug-in is being launched this week at the LotusSphere conference with Pentos, and can be installed and activated easily by any existing Lotus Notes and Clarizen customers.

The Pentos plug-in for Clarizen gives you the ability to combine the strengths of the Notes client with Clarizen's robust project management solution. The plug-in has an intuitive interface which facilitates direct access to projects and tasks from the Notes client. For improved usability, the plug-in includes the ability to drag-and-drop e-mails and attachments to Clarizen.

"The Pentos Lotus Notes plug-in for Clarizen brings a new level of productivity to the market further supporting Clarizen's determination to provide a solid mission critical project and work management solution to the Enterprise," said Shai Etzion, VP of Business Development at Clarizen. "The new plug-in, in addition to our existing MS Outlook plugin, provides yet another tool that enterprises need to run in a real-time environment."

The Pentos Clarizen plug-In provides direct access from within Notes to Clarizen projects, milestones, tasks and users. Predefined and ad-hoc filtering of data displayed gives users an easy view into their projects and their real-time status. The full integration also allows users to initiate new tasks directly from within Lotus Notes with a single sign-on.

"We at Pentos see the opportunity of working with Clarizen and offering the Clarizen Lotus Notes plug-in to our customers as a strategic opportunity to give our existing customers more value into their business operations," said Nikolaus Krasser, C0-CEO of Pentos. "The plug-in is a perfect example of a seamless integration of a valuable SaaS (News - Alert) offering with an on premise communication tool."
