Mformation Joins Forces with Hughes Telematics on M2M Device Management SolutionDec 10, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Mformation Technologies Inc., a provider of mobile device management (MDM) solutions, announced that it is partnering with Hughes Telematics, Inc. (HTI) to provide mobile device management for various HTI machine-to-machine (M2M) industry initiatives. HTI said it expects to use the Mformation Service Manager platform to provide remote device management capabilities for several segments of the M2M industry. The first venture will be for automotive in-vehicle information and communication systems. Key management capabilities will include detection, monitoring and diagnostics for in-vehicle systems, as well as remote firmware updates to various in-vehicle components. This wireless capability reduces the cost to support devices while allowing new capabilities to be delivered dynamically over the air," said Chuck Link, Chief Technology Officer at HTI.
