IK Investment to buy software firm Episerver


Nov 10, 2010 (MANAVIGATOR via COMTEX) -- UK private equity firm IK Investment Partners on Wednesday said it has agreed to buy Swedish software company Episerver for an undisclosed sum from its owners, among which a group of investors and employees.

Among the investors are private equity groups Amadeus Capital Partners, Monterro Holdings, Northzone Ventures, as well as Martin Bjaringer and Mikael Runhem.

Commenting on the deal, Helena Stjernholm, a partner at IK, said that Episerver has a stable market position and has a potential for further growth on the Swedish market. Episerver CEO Martin Henricson believes that IK's investment would help the company launch new products and services and reach its goal to expand internationally.


Episerver provides online presence optimisation services to various organisations.

The deal awaits anti-trust approval.

IK is financially advised by Swedish HDR Partners and Pricewaterhousecoopers and legally advised by Roschier while UK McKinsey & Company provided commercial advice. The vendors were financially advised by SEB Enskilda and legally advised by Gernandt & Danielsson.
