[October 08, 2010] Acacia subsidiary and ACCESS sign license deal with Microsoft Tweet Oct 08, 2010 (CORPORATE IT UPDATE via COMTEX) -- Acacia Research Corporation (NASDAQ: ACTG), an intellectual property licensing company, announced today that its subsidiary Smartphone Technologies LLC and ACCESS Co Ltd, a provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile digital TV markets, have licensed to Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) a portfolio of patents relating to smartphones. The patents, which are owned by ACCESS Co Ltd, cover inventions created by ACCESS, Palm, Palmsource, Bell Communications Research and Geoworks.
