UK Velti buys mobile ad exchange network Mobclix

UK mobile phone marketing firm Velti (LON:VEL) said on Friday it has acquired US privately held mobile ad exchange network Mobclix for an undisclosed amount.
Established in 2008, Mobclix is a bid-based marketplace for mobile developers, advertisers, advertising networks and agencies. Its software developer kit is used by iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows developers to make applications and then sell, track and manage their ad inventory.
The deal gives Velti a mobile ad exchange that connects more than 25 online, video and mobile ad networks such as Millennial Media, Jumptap, Inmobi, Traffic Marketplace, Mojiva and Smatto.
