[September 18, 2010] BRIEF: Whiteside sheriff's department receives grant for computers Tweet MORRISON, Sep 18, 2010 (Daily Gazette - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Whiteside County Sheriff's Department patrol cars will receive new computers thanks to a recent grant from the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System. The department was awarded $34,170 to purchase new computers to mount in patrol cars and replace old computers. The updated computers will allow deputies to access state and national crime file and intelligence databases, as well as communicate electronically with other law enforcement agencies statewide.
