According to a release, the event is organized by employees and in partnership with Hands on Bay Area. Employees also provided job skills and interview coaching at Jewish Vocational Services and Treasure Island Job Corps and assembled care packages, back-to-school backpacks and educational materials for Ronald McDonald House, La Casa de las Madres, Youth Science Institute and YMCA Urban Services. Additional 'Advent Gives Back Day' activities for Advent employees based in New York and Boston are planned for Fall 2010. "Community involvement is a cornerstone of our culture at Advent Software," said Todd Gottula, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Accounts at Advent. "For the second year in a row, Advent Gives Back Day has provided a valuable opportunity for our employees to dedicate time toward making a positive impact in our local communities. We are proud of our employees' involvement and dedication to giving back to local organizations and we are committed to offering more opportunities, such as Advent Gives Back Day that support our commitment to community." Advent's community involvement activities are centered around employee volunteerism, employee grant requests, corporate-level contributions and employee matching gift program.
