Nokia, Zain in new Jordan scheme
(TradeArabia Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Nokia has joined hands with Zain Jordan, part of regional telecom giant Zain, to provide easy access to e-mail, chat, internet and all the social networking sites for its customers under a new scheme in Jordan.
For 175JD ($246.4), users can now purchase a Nokia E5, the latest addition to the E-series line, exclusively from Zain and receive a free 300 MB data package free for 3 month and a Zain 5 line with a 3 month free subscription to communicate with 5 super numbers, said a company statement.
The offer, which is available for a limited time period – will provide customers with access to e-mail, chat, internet and all the social networking sites. Also, during Ramadan, the Nokia's Ramadan applications will be uploaded on the new Nokia E5 upon purchase, it added.
Designed for those that want to be productive in both their professional and personal lives, the Symbian-based Nokia E5 boasts a full Qwerty keyboard, 5 megapixel camera and A-GPS, together with free lifetime navigation service and access to Ovi Store. The new Nokia E5 is available exclusively at Zain retail outlets.
"Nokia Messaging is all about staying in touch with what matters most, whether that is through chatting to friends, being connected to work or updating your facebook status on the go," says Bruce Howe, Head of Marketing for Nokia Levant.
"Combined with the Nokia E5, this is the perfect mix of messaging capability and advanced smartphone functionality," he remarked.
Zain Jordan acting marketing director Umama Sarayrah said the new service is in line with the company's aim to offer the best and latest features and services to its customers.
