German Infineon, IBM exit Altis Semiconductor JV in France


(M&A Navigator Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) German chip maker Infineon Technologies (ETR:IFXA) and US computer giant IBM (NYSE:IBM) have sold their shares in their Altis Semiconductor joint venture in France, Infineon said yesterday.

Financial details were not disclosed.

The two partners sold the semiconductor maker to the new corporation Altis International in a move to secure its future operations. Yet, Infineon and IBM will continue using Altis' production facility in France.



Altis International is owned by French businessman Yazid Sabeg.
