StrongMail takes over marketing agencies Conversa Marketing, Magnetik

(M&A Navigator Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) StrongMail, a California-based provider of online marketing solutions for email and social media, said on Wednesday it had bought interactive marketing agencies Conversa Marketing and Magnetik, in a drive to boost offering and set foot in New York.



Financial terms were not revealed.

Conversa Marketing and Magnetik offer email and social media marketing, web design and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.


StrongMail plans to set up a new social CRM agency called ThreadMarketing to combine the two acquired agencies and its own strategic services team, as well as open an office in New York.

ThreadMarketing will operate as a StrongMail unit and will be headed by former Conversa Marketing's chief executive Michael Della Penna, with Magnetik founders Will Kunkel and Doug Steinberg as creative directors. The new agency will offer strategic marketing services and tools to marketing decision makers.
