HickoryTech selected to install Single Link Unified Communications across Mankato Area Public Schools

Jul 23, 2010 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- HickoryTech Corporation (Nasdaq: HTCO), a Minnesota-based provider of integrated communications, has been awarded a five-year contract to provide Single Link Unified Communications throughout Mankato Area Public Schools.

Under the contract announced on Thursday, financial details of which were not available, HickoryTech will install, support and manage the voice over Internet protocol phone system across 20 Mankato Area Public School sites including more than 1,250 phones.

HickoryTech said that its SingleLink Unified Communications provides a complete modern business communications system via a hosted service model. With this, companies get best-in-class telephony, unified messaging, call centre features and more without the need to buy any onsite servers or applications.

SingleLink replaces businesses' collection of voice and data equipment, services and vendors with a single, centrally managed and hosted VoIP communications solution.
