The Global Awards(R) Announces 2010 Call For Entries
NEW YORK, NY, Jul 13, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
The Global Awards, honoring creative and marketing excellence in
healthcare communications worldwide, announced the Call For Entries
for the 2010 competition. Now in its 16th year, The Global Awards
receives entries from healthcare corporations, hospitals, advertising
agencies, production companies, and design studios that produce
communications for medical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare related
products. In 2010 new categories were added including Animal
Healthcare, Allergies, and Computer Generated Graphics, which
recognize a unique niche in healthcare communications and honor those
industry professionals involved in creating work for their clients.

keep the competition relevant by creating categories that reflect the
ever changing landscape of healthcare communications, and updates the
competition's category roster based on feedback from our entrants,

Recently added categories include: four categories for Animal
Healthcare, encompassing Communication to the Healthcare Professional
- Print Media: Animal Healthcare; Communication to the
Consumer/Patient - Print Media: Animal Healthcare Products &
Services; Radio: Animal Healthcare Product & Services; and TV: Animal
Healthcare Products & Services. Additional new categories include:
Allergies introduced in the Communications to the Professional
section, and Computer Generated Graphics in the Art & Technique
section.
Judging sessions for this year's competition will be hosted by the
following prominent international agencies: McCann Erickson of
Sydney, Australia; Ogilvy Healthworld of London, England; Pharmacom
of Barcelona, Spain; Topin & Associates of Chicago, USA; and
trademark DM, of Melbourne, Australia. A session will also be held at
The Global Awards in New York, USA. Additional sessions and their
locations will be announced.
For the first time in 2010, The Global Awards will also have digital
entries judged online allowing an additional base of jurors from
regions with both established and growing healthcare markets to
participate and represent the international scope of The Global
Awards GrandJury.
The Global Awards Board, headed by Board Chairman Tom Domanico,
Chairman, CEO, & WWCD, of Draftfcb Healthcare, is represented by
prominent health care professionals, whose respected reputations and
knowledge of the industry continually generate prominence for the
competition and expand the international reach of the Global Awards.
Board members guide the judging process and ensure that the
competition addresses the needs of the healthcare communications
industry.
The Global Awards GrandJury is comprised of a panel of international
industry experts, representing the top creative minds in the field of
healthcare advertising. 2010 Jury members will be announced soon.
In 2009, the GrandJury awarded 2 prestigious Grand Global Awards, 40
Global Awards, and 119 Finalist Certificates and received entries
from 30 countries around the globe. The Global Awards and Bravo!, a
group of Australian healthcare specialists, celebrated the 2009 award
recipients at the Global Awards presentation in Sydney, Australia.
All winning entries are featured at: www.theglobalawards.com, and are
promoted by our network of representatives in 84 countries around the
world. The Global Awards deadline for entries is August 15th, 2010.
