Mercury Computer appoints senior vice president of corporate development


Jul 09, 2010 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Mercury Computer Systems has appointed Gerald Haines II as the senior vice president of corporate development, reporting directly to Mercury's president and CEO, Mark Aslett.

Mr Haines will be responsible for Mercury's corporate development activities, including mergers and acquisitions and will also serve as the company's chief legal officer.

Prior to Mercury, Mr Haines was executive vice president and chief legal officer of Verenium. Before that, he served as executive vice president of strategic affairs of Enterasys Networks. Prior to that, he was the vice president and general counsel at Applied Extrusion Technologies.


Mr Aslett said: "Our financial year 2011 strategy is all about driving growth organically and through acquisitions. Gerry's in-depth knowledge and experience with mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance as well as his significant legal expertise will make him an invaluable member of the Mercury team.
