SoundHound Appoints Kathleen McMahon to Executive Team

SoundHound Inc. today announced that Kathleen (Katie) McMahon has joined its executive team as vice president of sales & marketing. Reporting directly to the CEO, Keyvan Mohajer, Katie is responsible for delivering and growing top line revenue. She will also provide leadership across product development, marketing and brand strategy.

"Katie's relevant experience in the mobile industry and her vision in mobile music and voice products will be a major asset for our company moving forward," said Keyvan Mohajer, president and chief executive officer of SoundHound.

Prior to joining SoundHound, Katie was vice president of business development at Shazam (News - Alert) where she played an instrumental role in scaling the company and building its brand. Prior to Shazam, Katie was the founder and managing director of Westport Communications Inc., a mobile data service company based in okyo. In 2002, she was recognized as the first western woman to launch a technology company in Japan. Prior to Westport, Katie worked with the executive management team at Japan Communication Inc. (JCI) on special projects including IPO preparations and investor relations. She has been named by Mobile Entertainment as one of the "Top 50 Women" in mobile content.
