'Draka launches DrakaXSNet Interface Module'Jun 03, 2010 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Dutch cable producer Draka Communications has launched a software interface which links network operator administration systems with Draka's FTTH network implementation suite DrakaXSNet. This added functionality, DrakaXSNet Interface Module connects the customer and billing systems of network telecommunications providers. DrakaXSNet Interface Module transports all design data such as customer ID, location and registration. The suite is a package suited to public and private sector network operators, community broadband groups and to contracting and installation companies. Draka's software suite was originally developed to plan and manage copper cable networks in overseas environments involving as many as 1,500 components. As the average FTTH project, each unique, comprises some 500 components, the software can accommodate with large or small FTTH environments. This enhnaced implementation tool helps standardise the entire deployment process while giving control of the supply chain from product inventory through to the end consumer registration and identification. The DrakaXSNet Interface Module has been deployed for a 6,000 subscriber FTTH network in the Netherlands. Draka's network implementation suite was used in the deployment of CityNet, a FTTH infrastructure in The Netherlands with currently 40,000 customer connections. The company's design and planning software was also used in deployment of the FTTH network of Berkel and Rodenrijs. The suburb of Rotterdam completed a fiber roll-out to 6,000 homes, a project managed by Van Gelder engineering consultants, using Draka's software suite. Draka's interface was used for linking the town's fibre infrastructure to the local network provider. Distributed for DMeurope.com via M2 Communications (www.m2.com) |
