I seriously doubt that Kernell will get anything remotely approaching 20 years, more likely he'll get community service and parole. I mean his dad is a State Rep. Gateway Pundit -- Breaking: Sarah Palin Email A 1/2 HackerA 1/2 Convicted on 2 Charges: Huh? How could the jury not come to a verdict on identity theft? He broke into her account, stole her private information and changed her password. Brian's Blog: Justice Was Served, Now Kernell Needs to Serve: The jury did an exceptional job, Justice was served. Now, David Kernell needs to serve. The Prosecutors should request the maximum penalty. Court convicts Sarah Palin's email hacker -- Graham Cluley's blog: The potential Vice President's mistake was to choose a dumb (and easy-to-work-out) question as her password reminder. That's a faux pas that many have made in the past, making it easier for hackers to break into systems. Palin "Hacker" Convicted of Computer Fraud, Which Palin Says Is Totally Like Watergate -- VF Daily -- Vanity Fair: The dumb 22-year-old kid who broke into Sarah Palin's Yahoo e-mail account by guessing the answer ("Wasilla High") to her security question ("Where did you meet your husband?") has been convicted of two of the four charges Palin pressed against him: computer fraud and obstruction of justice. According to Fox News, "a combined maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and $500,000 in fines. It also calls for as much as eight years of supervised release, but it will be up to the judge to decide the sentence." Palin compares hacking of her email to Watergate -- Raw Story: If Godwin's Law states that whoever first raises a comparison to Nazis in an online argument automatically "loses," then there surely ought to be a similar rule for comparisons to Watergate. And if there was one, Sarah Palin would have just lost. Sarah Palin E-Mail Hacker Found Guilty of Coverup -- Threat Level -- Wired.com: Palin applauded the verdict Friday in a Facebook post that compared Kernell to Richard Nixon's plumbers. "As Watergate taught us, we rightfully reject illegally breaking into candidates' private communications for political intrigue in an attempt to derail an election," wrote Palin, who testified against Kernell in court last week.
