[March 30, 2010] Citigroup Hires NYC Deputy Mayor for Operations Edward Skylar for New Executive Position (C) Tweet Mar 30, 2010 (SmarTrend News Watch via COMTEX) -- 3/30/2010-Reuters reported Tuesday that Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) said it has named Edward Skyler, a long-time aide to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, to the newly-created position of executive vice president of global public affairs. Currently New York City's deputy mayor for operations, Skyler will join Citi in early May. The bank said he will lead internal and external communications and help lead government affairs and investor relations. Skyler will report directly to Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit.
