Polycom Names Iron Bow Federal Partner of the Year

Mar 13, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Iron Bow Technologies, formerly Apptis Technology Solutions, a technology solutions provider and reseller, announced that it has been named Federal Partner of the Year by Polycom, a provider of telepresence, video and voice solutions, for the second consecutive year.

As Federal Partner of the Year, Iron Bow is recognized for its commitment and expertise in engineering and deploying unified communications solutions for organizations around the world. Agencies are being asked to do more with less and video conferencing allows them to reduce travel costs while providing effective communications.

"We're honored to earn Polycom's recognition as Federal Partner of the Year for the second consecutive year," said Rene LaVigne, President and CEO for Iron Bow. "Polycom brings a range of open standards video solutions that extend the company's ability to provide enterprise architectures that have the scalability to meet future needs." Iron Bow helps its customers understand and adopt Polycom telepresence and infrastructure solutions into a unified communications environment to help them achieve their goals. Recently, Iron Bow and Polycom worked together to deploy ten Polycom telepresence systems at ten independent Defense Acquisition University sites throughout the United States.

"We were proud to select Iron Bow as Federal Partner of the Year again in 2009," said Barry Morris, VP of Federal Sales for Polycom. "Iron Bow has a mature unified communications practice that also aligns perfectly with the company's go-to-market strategy in 2010 through Polycom's Open Collaboration Network. The Iron Bow team exemplifies the highest standards as a partner to Polycom and federal customers." ((Comments on this story may be sent to [email protected]))
