NetCrunch 6 sets new standard for scalable agentless network monitoring

Introducing client/server architecture, NetCrunch 6 ensures stability and scalability in intensively monitored small and medium sized networks. Hardware and software inventory together with flexible access to the administration console are other key additions in v6.

March 02, 2010 - New York, NY – “With the fundamental transition into the client-server architecture in NetCrunch, we have been able to implement significant improvements in the scalability of the software. It reflects our customers’ requirements to monitor their networks in the more intensive way, while keeping the convenience of agentless monitoring, like fast installation and smooth adjustment to network growth”, AdRem Software (News - Alert) President & CEO, Tomasz Kunicki says.

Agentless hardware and software inventory included in NetCrunch 6 allows network engineers to track history of changes of Windows machines. Fast comparisons of hardware and software inventory states at different points of time can be used for periodical network audits and long-term network capacity planning.

NetCrunch 6 introduces Remote Administration Console for fast access to the software functionality and network performance data from any Windows machine. If more than one person needs to use NetCrunch, each of them can use his/her own Remote Administration Console, with personalized network views. This is especially beneficial when network administration tasks are performed by various members of the IT team, often working in different locations.

NetCrunch 6 is a unique combination of agentless monitoring of Windows, Linux, Novell OES (News - Alert), Mac OS X, BSD, NetWare, and SNMP devices in one package. It centralizes fault management by collecting and alerting on events from SNMP sources, Windows Event Logs and Syslog servers. With NetCrunch, network administrators and IT managers always know exactly what's happening with critical applications, servers, and network devices.

NetCrunch comes in two editions, Premium and Premium XE, the later includes several mechanisms that optimize agentless monitoring in network environments larger than a few hundred nodes. Pricing starts at USD 2 595 for monitoring up to 125 nodes.
