See a pothole? Record its spot

Feb 10, 2010 (The News and Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Have you hit a bad pothole in the past week? Here's what you can do about it: 1. Pinpoint your pothole -- and check out all the others -- on our collaborative Google map, "Triangle Potholes, 2010 Edition." Find the map online at blogs.newsobser ver.com/crosstown/ .

2. Report your pothole to city and state Department of Transportation road crews, so they can fix it. Be prepared to give a detailed description and location.

City and NCDOT road crews split the job of pothole patching. If you happen to contact the wrong folks, they'll relay your message to the right place.
