Avaya Certifies E911 Solution Compliant with Its IP Office System


Feb 05, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- 911 Enable, a provider of E911 solutions for IP telephony, announced that its Emergency Routing Service (ERS) is compliant with the IP Office communications system from Avaya, a global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

According to a release, the 911 Enable's Emergency Routing Service successfully completed interoperability testing with Avaya IP Office, ensuring reliable E911 services for small and medium businesses.

The ERS is a subscription service that provides businesses with E911 connectivity to over 6,000 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across the US and Canada. When 911 is dialed, the IP Office simply sends the emergency call to the ERS, which then delivers the call and accurate location information to the appropriate PSAP. Key features of the ERS include: -- E911 support for the main office, branch offices and remote employees.
