[January 25, 2010] 'Omnifone, HP offer desktop music service in Europe' Tweet Jan 25, 2010 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Mobile music services provider Omnifone has signed a contract with HP to distribute its MusicStation Desktop music service on over sixteen HP models across ten European countries. The service enables users of HP PCs in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland to download, play and share millions tracks from all four major music labels and independent labels for a monthly subscription on their computer. It is licensed by Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, EMI Music and Warner Music International. The service will be preloaded on the entire range of HP Pavilion, Compaq Presario and HP Envy models with up to fourteen days free trial of unlimited music access for purchaser of HP PCs. Tracks are downloaded directly to the user's PC over the internet for both online and offline playback when subscribed to the service or in the free trial period. MusicStation subscribers can also download and keep their favourite ten tracks forever in DRM free MP3 file format each month. The service will cost GBP 8.99 in UK, and EUR 9.99 in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
