[January 07, 2010] Ikanos' processors selected by Teracom for IADs Tweet (EquityBites Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Ikanos Communications Inc (Nasdaq:IKAN), a provider of advanced broadband semiconductor and software products, said on Wednesday that Teracom Ltd, a provider of broadband technology solutions, has selected the Ikanos Solos communications processors as the core of its high-performance integrated access devices (IADs). Financial details were not disclosed. These products will reportedly be used to extend advanced wireless, voice and data services to millions of consumers throughout India and other countries in the region. Ikanos said that its Solos family of chipsets are designed to reduce the total cost of ownership and time to market for network equipment manufacturers, allowing them to aggressively target new business opportunities and invest more heavily in the creation of value-added features.
