NICE is good for Cramer: CNBC market analyst Jim Cramer recommended the stock as one of his picks in the homeland security and anti-terrorism sector.

Jan 06, 2010 (Globes - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- CNBC market analyst Jim Cramer recommended NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) as one of his stock picks in the homeland security and anti-terrorism sector. Many security stocks have been up and running since the terrorist attempt to bring down Northwest Airlines flight 253 to Detroit on Christmas.

Cramer said on his "Mad Money" program, "Before you can catch the bad guys, you have to know who they are and what they're doing. NICE makes that happen. Among other products, this Israeli company is known for technology that captures, manages and analyzes suspicious communications -- whether by phone, radio or e-mail -- and analyzes video to allow security services to better anticipate, prevent, and respond to all kinds of threats." Cramer added, "The company's sitting on just under $500 million in cash, or about $8 in cash per share, so there's plenty of money left to keep buying." Cramer concluded, "This is one where both the technicals and the fundamentals, frankly, scream that there's still a major buying opportunity." NICE's share rose 3.9 percent by mid-afternoon on the TASE today to NIS 122.10. The share closed at $31.60 on Nasdaq yesterday, giving a market cap of $1.93 billion, and the share rose 3 percent in after-hours trading.
