'Telecom Italia starts LTE trials in Turin'Nov 24, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Telecom Italia has launched pre-commercial trials of a LTE mobile network. The experiment, carried out in Turin with Huawei, is based on 14 new LTE base stations located in the centre of the city and integrated with the existing mobile infrastructure. The new network guarantees a bandwidth capacity of over 140 Mbps per cell, with the possibility of managing three voice/data connections simultaneously with high availability of bandwidth.
