[November 23, 2009] Tech, media cos top Deloitte's Fastest 50 list [The Economic Times, India] Tweet (Economic Times (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Nov. 23--NEW DELHI -- Despite the grim market conditions, the average growth rate of top 10 winners of Deloitte Fastest 50 this year increased to 1,003 percent compared with the corresponding rate of 845 percent in 2008, showing a clear growth trajectory for the technology, media and telecom sectors in India. Global Consulting firm Deloitte named telecom products company Tanla Solutions as the fastest growing technology company in India for the year 2009. Tanla Solutions grew almost 3,000 percent in revenues in the past three years, despite the slowdown last year. Enzen Global Solutions, with a growth of 1,847 percent ranked second, while Latent View Analytics was placed third with a sales growth rate of 987 percent, despite the slowdown. While Tanla is a provider of solutions and products for mobile telcos, Enzen is engaged in consulting and IT services for the utilities sector. Latent View offers analytics consulting BPO, FMCG and BFSI sectors. "Given the economic slump the world has witnessed over the last one year, a combined average growth rate of 1,944 percent for the top three Indian winning companies truly inspires confidence in the market. Additionally, the 50 companies featured in this list have managed to achieve an average revenue growth of 372 percent over the past three years," said PN Sudarshan, senior director, Deloitte India. Every year, Deloitte recognises the fastest 50 companies by comparing their three-year revenue growth. The eligibility criteria for participating companies necessitates being a technology company headquartered in India and having operating revenue of at least $50,000 in the first year of the three years being analysed. The next step for all eligible nominations is an automatic qualification for the prestigious 'Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2009 Program' which recognises the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in the Asia Pacific region.
