[November 23, 2009] Alcatel Lucent: Alcatel-Lucent agrees to sell its Fractional Horsepower Motors Activities to Triton Tweet Paris, Nov 23, 2009 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext and NYSE: ALU) announced today that it has agreed to sell its electrical fractional horsepower motors and drives activities, Dunkermotoren GmbH, to Triton, a leading European private equity firm which focuses on long term investments in market-leading companies based in German-speaking and Nordic countries. The agreed value of the operations ('enterprise value') is 145 million Euros. The sale is expected to close by December 31 st , 2009 and the purchase price will be paid in cash. Dunkermotoren, headquartered in Bonndorf (Germany), has operations mainly in Germany, the US, and China and is the world's largest maker of fractional horsepower drives for applications such as electric sliding doors and outdoor window shutters.
