'Promonte launches filter against children pornography'(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Montenegrin mobile operator Promonte has partnered with the Montenegrin Police Directorate to set up a filter against access via mobile phone to websites containing children pornography. As part of the agreement, Montenegrin Interpol provides a hotline and a continuously updated list of URLs containing such illegal websites and is responsible for making all assessments regarding the legality of website content. Promonte's role is limited to providing the technical service and managing the technical filtering process based on a so-called 'block list' provided by Montenegrin Interpol. Promonte's mother company Telenor is part of the Mobile Alliance against Child Sexual Abuse Content. Another three operators which are part of the Telenor Group have launched such filters in three Nordic markets to expand the global outreach of the filter.
