RadioShack to Sell Clarity's New DECT Amplified Phone


Nov 20, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Clarity, a division of Plantronics and manufacturer of amplified telephones, announced it released the Clarity D613 cordless phone that is now available nationwide at RadioShack that utilizes Digital Enhanced Cordless Technology 6.0 (DECT) for senior citizens.

The Clarity D613 can be purchased at RadioShack locations throughout the US and online for $89.99. The phone amplifies sound up to 30 decibels to provide interference-free communication. In addition, it features an ergonomic design with soft touch buttons for people with arthritis. Plus, the Clarity D613 bold numbers and text helps those with waning vision.

Clarity said its D613 also features a digital answering machine and other senior-friendly elements such has a lightweight handset and a contrasting caller ID display for people with low vision. The phone is hearing aid and T-coil compatible. It also complies with TIA-1083 guideline, ensuring reduced interference for those using hearing aids during conversations.


Clarity is a supplier of amplified telephones, notification systems, assistive listening devices and other communications devices for the hearing loss and deaf markets.
