PAR Technology Subsidiary Wins $43.1 Million Army Contract AwardNov 20, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Rome Research, a subsidiary of PAR Technology, was awarded a contract worth up to $43.1 million to provide operator level personnel to augment the 21st Signal Brigade supporting operations and maintenance of Army Global Information Grid (GIG) facilities within the continental United States. The performance period of the contract is five years. "The award of this contract reinforces the Army's confidence in RRC, as well as our team's ability to perform this critical function," Steve Lynch, President of PAR's Government Operations said. "RRC is proud to continue their support to the 21st Signal Brigade providing exceptionally qualified personnel to augment this critical mission within the continental United States, thereby providing the Army the flexibility to deploy their uniformed resources in other more critical functions in support of the Global War on Terror." The Army GIG facilities which include Camp Roberts, CA; Fort Belvoir, VA; Fort Bragg, NC; Fort Detrick, MD; Fort Meade, MD; and two remote sites contain combinations of Defense Satellite Communications System and Wideband Global Satellite X-band satellite earth terminals with all associated baseband equipment, and Technical Control Facilities.
