Trust Digital Rolls Out Reseller Partner Program to Support iPhone Adoption

Nov 20, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Trust Digital, a company specializing in enterprise mobility management (EMM) for smartphones, said it has launched its global reseller partner program to meet the demand for iPhone management solutions for enterprises worldwide.

In addition to BlackBerry Resellers, Trust Digital said its program helps mobile operators position and sell the company's EMM platform. Historically, BlackBerry has been the standard for enterprise smartphones; however, with more consumers bringing personal devices to work, employees are driving the rapid growth and adoption of the iPhone and other non-BlackBerry smartphones for business use. Companies seek a solution that empowers CIOs to say "yes" to these consumer devices by utilizing existing IT services for authentication, authorization and corporate directories.

"The iPhone recently topped J.D. Power and Associates' list for wireless phone satisfaction among both consumers and business users which now places increased pressure on IT organizations to support this device," said Nick Turner, vice president, resellers and service provider sales at Trust Digital. "Trust Digital's reseller program provides partners with an open platform for smartphone mobility and support from partners they already trust and rely upon; that partner is often a BlackBerry VAR. Together, we make it easy for businesses to embrace the iPhone, satisfying both users and IT - while still working with a trusted partner." Trust Digital's reseller partner program, designed as a value-based channel model, drives new opportunities with resellers globally and across segments, markets, and business models. Trust Digital works with selected consultants, systems integrators, and value-added resellers who wish to leverage the company's enterprise mobility management platform to sell, develop, and deploy mobile solutions globally. Trust Digital ensures the success of its resellers with targeted training, support, and qualified sales opportunities.

"IT managers throughout the government are struggling to manage and secure iPhones and other smartphone technologies being used by their employees," said Craig P. Abod, president of Carahsoft Technology Corp. "As Trust Digital's master aggregator for the U.S. public sector marketplace, Carahsoft is pleased to offer our government customers a proven solution to effectively and securely address these deployment and operational challenges enterprise-wide." "The iPhone is changing how businesses use smartphones in Germany, and companies need a way to manage and secure them," said Bernd Schwefing, chief executive officer of Controlware GmbH. "Our mobility practice had long relied on Nokia Intellisync for device management capabilities, but the discontinuation of this product created a technology void that Trust Digital EMM now fills. As a Trust Digital Gold Partner, our mobility practice gives customers the technical support and expertise needed to deploy mobile applications, and an open mobility management platform to support smartphones that are best suited for their users and mobile applications." "With three major U.K. operators now offering the Apple iPhone - O2, Orange/T-Mobile and Vodafone - iPhone use within the enterprise is expected to reach an all time high," said Steven Harris, managing Director at InTrust. "It's inevitable that consumers will be taking their iPhones to work. The enterprise mobility management market is poised for rapid growth and Trust Digital's global partner program will undoubtedly ease the process of enabling enterprise adoption of the Apple iPhone."
