The Best Interactive Site category focuses on a website's interactive features and technologies for providing health information and health evaluations; establishing ongoing relationships via personal Web pages, e-newsletters and e-mail alerts; and facilitating community groups. More than 1,100 entries were received for the 2009 eHealthcare Leadership Awards, organized by Strategic Health Care Communications, a division of Health Care Communications. An independent panel of individuals familiar with healthcare and the Internet evaluated each entry.
