Website for Groundbreaking Interactive Docu-Reality Web Series 'To Be A Star' Goes Live

New York, NY, Nov 20, 2009 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- A new docu-reality web series about the journey to stardom - 'To Be A Star' (www.tobeastar.com) - launches its website, a portal that allows viewers to connect in real-time with the cast while watching the show's episodes. 'To Be A Star' is an interactive web series that follows 6 young women as they spend two months in New York City learning an array of skills from 15 top fashion and entertainment professionals, including designer Nicole Miller, supermodel Coco Mitchell and brand strategist Kathie DeChirico.

The ladies get a crash course in what it takes to break into and succeed in show biz.

The site offers an array of resources in modeling, acting, dance, voice, fashion, design, photography, makeup and style, branding and marketing. There will be contests throughout the season, and through the social community, site users can build their own worldwide network of friends and colleagues.

"This is a groundbreaking project that will really help young girls in so many ways, and I am excited to share my knowledge with the girls and the viewers," remarked Nicole Miller, while promoting the show.

The debut episode is scheduled to air January 5, 2010. Through a partnership with Forever21, fashion shows featuring the cast will be broadcast through Facebook, and through partnerships with J-14 Magazine, Backstage.com and others, the girls' video diaries will be streamed throughout the web.

Over the next 6 weeks, the show is embarking on a pre-promotional blitz, including public appearances by the show's stars and exclusive video blogs broadcast through www.tobeastar.com.
