Lucky winners pocket cash from dms, Digicel

Nov 20, 2009 (Cayman Net News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Digicel and dms Broadcasting stations HOT 104.1 and X107.1 have announced the two "Dial For Dollars" grand prize winners, Saneta Johnson and Komalran Eilchand, each pocketing $2,500. During the four-week campaign, Digicel pre-paid customers had the chance to win over $10,000 in cash and prizes.

"We would like to extend our congratulations to HOT 104.1 winner Senata and X107.1 winner Komalran on their big wins! Big bucks for minimal effort! Extra cash is always a plus, especially with the holiday season quickly creeping up!" commented dms Broadcasting Network Promotions and Marketing Manager Phil Vinciullo. "Working with Digicel on this promotion was particularly pleasing as it rewards customer loyalty -- a practice that dms Broadcasting is enthusiastic about." Each station independently announced and awarded winners on air, with the promotion coming to a close on November 5th. The formula for establishing qualifiers was simple -- every time Digicel prepaid customers purchased a $3 Regional Day Pass or topped up with $10 or more, their names were added to the list of eligible customers, and they received a SMS message from Digicel notifying them they had officially been entered into the competition. Every Friday during the promotion, HOT 104.1 and X107.1 randomly called the numbers of eligible customers. The first customer to answer the phone and give the phrase that, "Dial For Dollars with Digicel, Cayman's Bigger, Better Network", automatically won the weekly cash prize of $1,000 with a final cash amount of $2,500. There were also weekly provisions for consolation prizes, ranging from $50 pre-paid phone credits to a Blackberry Storm 9500.

Commented Digicel Senior Marketing Manager Simone Martin, "We are always pleased with the level of enthusiasm of our customers. It has been such a pleasure to bring smiles to the faces of so many winners -- rewarding them with cold, hard cash for their loyalty! We frequently come up with fun ways to say thank you to our customers, so make sure to be on the lookout for your opportunity to win big!" Added Phil, "Again, thank you to Digicel for partnering with us in this endeavor. Make sure to stay tuned to our stations or visit us online at www.hot1041.ky and www.x1071.ky for your next chance to win big in one of our many competitions!"
