James Packer, chair of Consolidated Media Holdings and a potential major investor in One.Tel at the time along with Lachlan Murdoch of News Corporation, has challenged Rich as well as special purpose liquidator Paul Weston to make true their threat of suing him. Packer maintains that the defeat by the regulator does not prove One.Tel's financial status was indeed sufficiently healthy when he and Murdoch were fellow directors withdrawing a cash injection of $A132m.
