Zeevex Publishes the Results of Its First User SurveyATLANTA, Nov 19, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Zeevex, the only open Virtual Currency sold in national retailers, announced some key highlights from their first user survey. Zeevex is the only open Virtual Currency in national retailers and the most user-friendly way to pay for digital content. Adopting the point card model that has been popular and widely-used in Asia, Zeevex launched the beta for their virtual currency in July 2009, becoming the first virtual currency point card that is sold in U.S. national retailers. "We have gathered lots of transactional data, but this survey confirms that users have adopted the Zeevex virtual currency model, which is vastly different than legacy models," said Dean Gebert, Chief Marketing Officer for Zeevex. "Legacy models, like PlaySpan's Ultimate Game Card, punish users by hitting them with unexpected fees and forcing them to trap their card in one game. Zeevex is the open and user-friendly model that doesn't go bump in the night." In their user survey, from October 20 to October 26, 2009, Zeevex polled two thousand, one hundred and seventy (2,170) of their registered users about their Zeevex beta experiences. Survey highlights include the following: -- 90.5% of users said they have not had a single problem with Zeevex, with 84.2% saying Zeevex solved their problem quickly -- 85.7% of users know they can trade Zeevex Tokens with their friends for virtual items -- 77.9% of users have bought up to 10 Zeevex cards, while another 11.6% have bought up to 20 Zeevex cards (compared to Ultimate Game Card's 35.8% users buying 4 cards, since their 2007 launch) -- 89.3% said they will definitely buy another Zeevex card (compared to Ultimate Game Card's 80% who are "likely" to buy again) (PlaySpan's last user survey: http://corp.playspan.com/pdf/2009-0320-PlaySpan_Reports_Findings_From_New_Consumer_Insights_Survey_on_Retail_Game_Cards%20.pdf) Highlights from Zeevex transactional data in October 2009 includes the following: -- Average Zeevex transaction in virtual goods was $19 - $42 USD, depending on the day -- Largest Zeevex transaction in virtual goods was $129 USD -- Zeevex users purchased an average of 2.8 cards The Zeevex Xtreme Game Card is currently sold in over 22,000 U.S. national retail locations, including GameStop, Blockbuster, Toys R Us, Rite Aid, 7-Eleven, F.Y.E., Sam Goody, Wherehouse Music, and more.
